Mumbai to Goa Tour Package 3N/4D

Day 1MUMBAI – GOA

Fly from Mumbai to Goa. Our representative will meet you in the arrival area of Goa airport. Depart for your hotel where you will check-in for your stay.

Sun, sea and sand combine to make Goa an ideal place to relax. With its 100 kms of coastline, it is a land of golden beaches set against a backdrop of coconut palms and green rice fields. Panjim, the capital of Goa, retains a strong Portuguese flavour. Parts of the town have narrow winding sets with numerous cafes and small bars; many still have their signs in Portuguese.

Day 2GOA

After breakfast, proceed for a half-day tour of Old Goa & Panjim city.

There is no doubt to the fact that Old Goa is considered the spiritual heart of the State. Today we will take a half-day tour: visit the largest church in Asia – Se Cathedral that is dedicated to St. Catherine.

Opposite the Se Cathedral stands the Basilica of Bom Jesus built by the Jesuits in 1605. The church houses the sacred relics of St. Francis Xavier, patron saint of Goa. Take a brief stop at St. Cajetan. The church’s façade is based on the original design of St. Peter’s in Rome. Drive past St. Augustine tower and the nunnery of St. Monica. Visit the Christian Arts Museum, which houses some of the best specimens of Goa’s distinctive and executively crafted church art.

Drive to the capital city of Goa – Panjim; a small and charming city on the banks of the Mandovi River, which boasts of beautiful red-roofed houses built in Latin style, well-laid gardens, statues and avenues lined with different trees. Walkthrough the small squares and back lanes of the town’s old quarters where the Portuguese influence is most evident and you can do a bit of shopping as well before returning back to your hotel.

After sightseeing, return to your hotel and spend the evening at leisure.

Day 3GOA

Today morning, your day is at leisure. Either you can spend time on your own or go for our optional tour of Heritage of Goa.

Details of the tour: Drive to Chandor to visit the Portuguese house of Mrs. Sara Fernandes, built before the arrival of the Portuguese. The house locally known as Voddlem Ghor has been an imposing structure in the tranquil village of Chandor. The exquisite features of this ancient house are a large ballroom, which was added around 150 years ago. The ballroom consists of a
spacious verandah, long French glass windows, a wooden floor with baroque styled furniture, a large Belgian mirror, crystal chandeliers and crystal lamp holders adorn the wall. Tall solitaire vases, piano and antique oil lamps are some of the showpieces in the ballroom. Proceed for hi-tea to the 17th century “Palacio Do Deão” which is a 213-year-old Palace in Quepem built by a Portuguese nobleman who was the Dean of the Church and founder of Quepem Town. It has an unusual style of architecture, blending Hindu & Portuguese cultures.

The lush gardens around the Palace have preserved their features and have been known as the most beautiful pleasure gardens. Drive to Margao for a bit of shopping in the local market and return back to the hotel.

Day 4GOA

In time assisted transfer to Goa airport to board your flight for home.
