3 Hours Before Flight Time
This is the day when you start your Golden Triangle Tour with Regal Rajasthan 14N/15D. This day you will arrive at Delhi’s international airport and our representative will escort you to the hotel for your check-in. Rest of the day is at leisure. You can opt for one of the following experiences that have to be pre-booked.
Optional Experience 1: – Cook dinner with an Indian family. Source the ingredients from the local market and experience the touch of Indian cooking.
Optional Experience 2: – This is a private Evening Tour of Akshardham Temple with Musical Fountain Show. Please note that the temple is closed on Monday. Learn about the enormity and beauty of this exceptional monument under the guidance and knowledge of a private expert guide. Overnight at Hotel
Right after the breakfast, as a part of Golden Triangle Tour, we will head to a full day city tour of Old & New Delhi including the visit of the 17th century Jama Masjid and enjoy a normal rickshaw ride through the narrow, winding lanes of colourful and bustling Chandni Chowk. We will also be visiting the Red Fort for a photo stop, Raj Ghat and drive past The Presidential Palace, the one-time imperial residence of the British viceroys, the India Gate, the Rajpath past the Parliament House and secretarial buildings. Followed by a visit to the Qutab Minar, and 16th century Humayun’s tomb, a precursor to the Taj Mahal. Spend the evening at leisure.
Next day, you will leave for Agra by train and will be transferred to the hotel. On arrival, visit Agra Fort, which was originally started by Emperor Akbar in 1565, but his son, Jahangir, and grandson, Shah Jahan, later made valuable additions to it. Later in the afternoon, proceed for the sunset visit of the Taj Mahal with your guide.
Optional Experience 1 – Volunteer visit to Sheroes Hang out Café – A Café managed by brave Acid Attach survivors, the café serves you food with a flavour of love and warmth. This will be based on a direct payment basis.
Optional Experience 2 – Kachpura Heritage Walk that takes you through a narrow bridle path through agriculture fields near Mehtab Bagh into the ancient village of Kachpura and Humayun’s Mosque.
Optional Experience 3 – Agra by Night is an experiential tour that explores many of Agra’s famous landmarks at their floodlit best on foot and by car. The tour is an ideal use of the time between monument related sightseeing and dinner. Overnight at Hotel
Drive to Jaipur Morning after breakfast drive to Jaipur.
Optional Experience – Early Morning – Sunrise Taj Visit During your drive, you will visit the once seat of Mughal legacy, which is an abandoned city glowing red under the sun, Fatehpur Sikri – the deserted red sandstone city built by the Great Mughal Emperor, Akbar, as his capital and palace in the late 16th century is just 37kms from Agra. Continue your drive to Jaipur also, visit Abhaneri famous stepwells en route, arrive and check-in at the hotel JAIPUR – the capital of Rajasthan province is known for its arts and crafts, jewellery, hand-painted fabrics and stone sculptures; it is one of North India’s finest examples of a planned city embodying the best of Rajput and Mughal architecture.
Optional Experience: – Yoga by Facing Taj Mahal, Agra (Early Morning) Yoga being a gem of Indian culture is not only a way to keep oneself healthy and fit, but it’s more of a way of life. This session covers Asana, Dhyana and Pranayama at a lush green mound about 150 meters from the Taj Mahal facing the same. It is best suited for all, be it a beginner or a pro, child or an adult.
Optional Experience: – Food Walk in Jaipur (Evening)
From its creation in 1727 the royal families and nobles of Jaipur patronized the craftsmen and artisans of the city. These traditions continue to this day and as a result modern-day Jaipur is considered by many as the craft capital of India. Traditional methods are still used to produce many valuable and highly prized items. Using skills passed down through generations, artisans and master craftsmen can be seen in the areas of Ghat Darwaza and Vishveshwar Ji. On this fascinating evening walk mingle and talk with the locals whilst sampling some of the regions culinary delights; try pakoras, aloo tiki, samosa and sweets from some of the city’s most popular street food vendors. Observe local artisans in their workshops; jewellers and silversmiths, gold and silver foil makers. The iconic Hawa Mahal also called the Palace of the winds is the meeting point at which this two and a half-hour walk begins. Spend the rest of the evening at leisure. Overnight at Hotel
Visit Amber fort – a UNESCO world heritage site. After the breakfast, visit the hilltop fortress at Amber in a jeep. Take a stroll through the sprawling complex of courtyards and halls. Enroute Haha Mahal. Afternoon visits the City Palace, which is an overwhelming complex of exquisite palaces, gardens and courtyards, decorative art and carved doorways. Afterwards visit Jaipur’s Jantar Mantar is the most famous of five observatories built by Sawai Jai Singh in India. Jai Singh was a great admirer of progress and research made in the fields of science and technology, and he was passionate about astronomy. In the evening, you will be taken for a Cooking Demonstration followed by a meal with the Indian family in their home. Overnight at Hotel
On this day you will drive to Nimaj by road and check-in at a hotel for your stay. Overnight at Hotel
You will drive from Nimaj to Jaisalmer through the fascinating desert-scape of Jaisalmer that is well known for the desert and the oldest living forest in the world. Evening at leisure. Overnight at Hotel
We will start our tour by a half-day city tour of Jaisalmer that includes Jaisalmer Fort also known as Sonar Qila (the Golden Fort). Late afternoon drive to nearby Sand Dunes for a camelback ride into the desert to watch the sunset on this golden desert city. The camelback ride is one of the unique ways to explore small villages, discover the rich desert culture and meet the colourful tribal people. Overnight at Hotel
After reaching Rohet, we will check-in at the hotel and later in the afternoon, we will proceed for a jeep ride showcasing the best of the land. Here you meet the ‘Premier ecologists of the world’, the Bishnois, who have protected nature for more than 500 years and are responsible for the very survival of species like the Black Buck antelope (India’s most beautiful antelope and a rare and protected species today).
Drive to Jawai and we will be staying at the Jawai Leopard Camp. Rest of the day is free to explore the property. Overnight at Hotel
Morning, we will take a ride through the camp and explore the area in and around the camp site. The Camp lies minutes upstream from Jawai Bandh, one of the largest water reservoirs in Western Rajasthan and attracts an impressive array of migratory birds including flamingos, geese and the Sarus Crane. Leopards are Jawai’s predominant attraction. A thriving population lives in this region and therefore the chances of spotting one here are possibly the highest in all of India especially with the camps expert guides and trackers to guide you! The evening is at leisure.
Optional: – Opt for various Spa treatments at the exclusive Spa Tent at Jawai Leopard Camp which is tucked away in the lap of seclusion, making it the perfect place in which to enjoy a relaxing treatment after a day of adventure. Overnight at Hotel
We will drive to Udaipur in the morning en-route visit Ranakpur. The White Marble Temples at Ranakpur is one of the architectural gems of the area. These are surrounded by tangled forests with monkeys abounding in the courtyard. Continue your drive to Udaipur. Upon arrival, check-in at a hotel. Overnight at Hotel
In the afternoon, take a boat ride at Lake Pichola. Morning, we will visit Udaipur city starting at Jagdish Temple built-in 1651. Visit the City Palace (part of which has been converted into a museum housing the largest collection of crystal in the world) and see the gorgeous peacock mosaics, striking blue and white ceramics and Dutch inlaid tile work, glass and porcelain figures and miniature paintings. Later, visit Saheliyon Ki Bari – the spectacular garden displaying the unique lifestyle of the Royal ladies who once lived in the Palaces. Overnight at Hotel
